QUESTIONS THAT ARE NEVER ENDING
Are you expecting? Are you pregnant? When are you going to have a baby? Why so late? etc. People always asked these questions to me every time they saw me. Some people even asked right after I married for one month...sigh...What is wrong with these people?
At the beginning, I felt offended, sad, depressed, etc with these questions but as time goes by I am getting used to it and counter the questions positively by asking them to pray for me instead of bombarded me with those nonsense questions. To me, a child is a gift from Allah, our creator. It is beyond our control. We can put our effort on but at the end, it's up to Allah to decide either we are ready or not to have one. REMEMBER: Allah knows better.
In life, every single person on this earth, we encounter different types of challenges and problems and it's part of our life journey and I consider this might a challenge for me. I take it positively because it is not the end of the world if you don't have babies.
March 2017 will be my 4th wedding anniversary and yet to pregnant. One of my best friends just married a year ago and she has been bombarded with same questions. She raised her concerns to me and I just consult her by saying that is normal and do not pressure with those questions. Those questions will never end. Why? Below are the reasons:
1) Few months after married (sometimes a day after married!): Are you expecting? Why you are not pregnant? Are you on family planning?
2) You already got one kid, next question is: When are you going to have a second baby?
2) When you have more than 2 babies, next question is: Don't you think you should do family planning? Why you have so many kids?
So, can you see that those questions will never end?
Pstt! While I am not pregnant yet, I am pursuing my studies in Master Business Administration and this year is my final year... In Shaa Allah :)
